Diógenes Ballester

Newyorican Manifestation / Manifestación Nuyorican is a painting of Ballester’s reflection and reinterpretation of Puerto Ricans and Nuyoricans in El Barrio through iconic figures. It is his reflection on Puerto Rican identity with a special focus on El Barrio, the crown jewel of the Puerto Rican community. Newyorican Manifestation represents his artistic journey and his identity as a Puerto Rican from Ponce to New York City to the world.
